The Camel and The Needle's Eye

For all of us that actually live honest hardworking lives, and see no real returns for our hard work with regards to salary and cost of living ratio. As we stress just to make ends meet, while the gluttonous rich 1% of our society splurge on million dollar second and third homes, driving up the cost of living in our previously humble middle class, and perhaps even lower class neighborhood; it seems that the new poverty line should be set at anyone making less than $100,000../year. I remember my dad doing just fine making $60,000./year and providing for a family with three boys. He was able to buy a humble house for us to finally call our own after 13 years of moving and renting. But now 20 years later, my wife and I with four kids we cant even barely get by, zeroing our bank account out every two weeks; on $80,000./year. What has gone wrong? Was it ever "right" in the first place.
First of all, it was never right, this "anlgo-supremist" oriented nation of laws benefiting the original illegal immigrants, "The Pilgrims": Slaughtering the Natives and enslaving the Black, Brown, and Yellow man to get a "head start" in this rat race they call the "human race". And I am of "anglo" heritage myself, so I should know. Second of all, as far (or not so far) as the gluttonous rich 1% of the world running us all down the drain go; Christ said to comfort all poor and working-class people of the the world: "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for the rich to enter into heaven..."
Thus we who struggle and suffer at the economic winepress of the gluttonous world-wide "Romans" of our day, need not worry or stress, but rejoice and be glad through this temporary tribulation, for there is a place in heaven for us. Not the heaven the rich want/coerce us to believe, that so called "place in the sky" we're supposed to evaporate off to when we "die", but the kingdom of heaven right here on earth, within all of our hearts: There God sits on his throne in loving-kindness and compassionate everlasting mercies. Not for the rich (tough we still hold compassion for them in our hearts, for they know not what they do), but the poor in spirit. Poor in spirit because the greedy money changers are grinding us to the marrow, driving up the cost of living in neighborhoods they don't even live in. the wicked have put a price tag on life itself...is this the proverbial "mark of the beast" the ancients were talking about? A price tag on living? If you're rich you live if you're poor you die? This demented strategy put into action over a thousand years ago, lends itself nicely to the "Darwinian" theory of evolution, or should i say "evil-ution", where man (white man) miraculously evolved from monkeys into white guys: leaving blacks and browns unfortunately closer to monkeys. Hey that's the theory, I didn't make it up. That anglo centric view of the world is evaporating along with the fleeting illusion that life is a thing money can buy. Though they fear the "redistribution of wealth," in actuality it is not the redistribution but the removal of the price tag (w/inflation) on life itself. Thus we need fret not international brothers and sisters, we will inherit the earth and the spoils of the rich gluttons. And we will "share" as we have always done from generation to generation. Rest unassured for the greedy devils and money changers of today: The Bankers, The Bush's (yeah them), The Chenney's, The Greenspan's, The Madoff's, The Bernanke's, The Wells Fargo's, The Citi Bank's, The Wall Street's, World Bank, IMF, etc..., the predatory borrowers and lenders of today
......Woe unto those wicked people in high and low places of society that lie and cheat their way around money to the suffering and detriment of many: "The Money Changers". To them we can all whole heartedly say, "We got nothin' but love for y'all", along with a big Texas sized "#@^* You!" as we ride our camels unto Zion...

The Slipping Economic Yoke of Colonialism

Did anybody else notice that as soon as it looked like America was going to elect a "Black" president, all of a sudden "African Americans" start showing up in every other commercial, instead of one every 3 hours? And now, every news station has at least one, most have 3 or more, main african american news anchors? All prejudice aside, this is merely a reflection of the desire to make money, plain and simple. But isn't that all it has ever been? I mean since way back, when the first european "explorers" were sent out to collect and conquer the riches of the world? A direct order from various feuding, and competitive, cousin-kings and queens of the various european countries like Spain, France, England, Italy, and Germany? For profit, riches, power, and a glory to boast of for generations to come? Wait a minute!!! Nothing, dare one say, will ever top the Great Pyramid and Oblisks of Egypt...I mean they put it on the feakin' dollar bill (LOL)!
Still, after decades of sacrifice and the struggle of the American People, in all there hues, along with the hopes and dreams of the rest of the people of the world: Those plutocratic rulers of yesteryear have remained steadfast to control, often times contrive, and definitely manipulate their profits along with the rest of the familial spoils of a post euro-colonial world.
Enter Plutocratic Colonialism. Currently whole cities and towns are being built from nothing, fabrications of Plutocratic Colonial Corporations. When the resources are gone and/or the profits decline, the whole city is then uprooted and moved to the next poor country where worker rights are less "regulated" and public health is at the bottom of the barrel. Now that people of the world are organizing themselves on a local level, electing to expose centuries of euro-plutocratic deception, and current world-plutocratic belligerence. Those plutocrats are in a pickle. So what do they do, they pilfer the public coffers of America, Europe, and many other countries; leaving the people of the world with an unprecedented "world economic deficit". As the saying goes: "If you're gonna dig one pit, you better dig two..."
Now that the people of America call for "health care for all", and "small business" bailouts, the plutocrats quickly try to pass the blame on the newly elected "Black American President". Passing the hot potato of a plutocratic bailout crafted by former President George Jr.Bush to their "scapegoat", president Barack Obama. But face it people, President Obama and former President Bush Jr. are both just politicians. There's always more then meets the eye when it comes to politics and the manipulation of public funds. That's why big money lobbyists "swing both ways", between the "public and private sector"; or more likely, to put it in "former" President Bush Jr.'s terms, "The have and the have more sector".
I'll save the plutocratic manipulation of "public media" over the last 200 years for my next news story: "Plutocratic Orators of the 21st century."

Governor Lingle Proclaims State Deficit for Hawaii till 2011

Once again, all take and no give. Hawaii Governor Lingle cries no money to run government until after 2011, even after the incredible real estate and construction boom that lasted from 2003 -2008. Five years of million-dollar house flippers from the mainland, buying and selling off hawaiian properties with no intention of living in hawaii, driving up the average cost of a single family home to $750,000. and no more money for the people, for government from 2009-2011??? This is because you have allowed the economies of Orange County, Santa Barbara, and Beverly Hills to drive up the cost of living in Hawaii, with out taxing these malahini, or foreign millionaire developers. This idea of allowing foreign money, including tourism and mainland real estate developers, to be the main source of revenue for the state of Hawaii, is a feeble foundation for a state economy. We must live within our means and become self reliant in Hawaii. This is an island, and depending on a non-native economy is almost like a drug addict depending on drugs for happiness; instead of his/her own inner happiness. Hawaii must develop a deep and sincere attitude toward a local and self-sustaining economy, not tourism and non-local real estate developers. We have some of the richest agricultural soils in the world, and yet we ship in produce from all over the world to fill our needs, while international GMO (genetic engineering) agricultural companies splice animal and human genes with corn on all of our prime agricultural land. Cut the whining and give the local people of Hawaii what is rightfully there's, by taxing foreign real estate developers to fund your debilitated government, and growing food we can actually eat!

"Swine Flu" Lands in Hawaii

A rural hospital on Oahu's North Shore has reported several confirmed cases of "Swine Flu" or H1N1 virus have surfaced in the local community. The situation is being handled to the best of the hospital's ability. Kahuku hospital has been on the verge of closing it's doors for years and is known to be underfunded and ill-equipped. They had to borrow face masks from another hospital in Honolulu to protect their nurses and other hospital workers from the spread of the Swine Flu virus. The North Shore of Oahu is frequented by surfer's from all over the world, along with tourists traveling from Honolulu hotels to witness the large winter waves.

Hawaii Governor Taking Money from Schools to Balance State Budget

Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle, shown here with President Obama, has decided to take money slated for education from the President's economic stimulus package to balance the state's budget. It's bad enough that Hawaii schools rank at the very bottom of the nation's performance standards. Adding insult to injury, Governor Lingle will take money that should be going to improve Hawaii's already dilapidated schools; especially noticeable in the low income communities made up of predominantly Hawaiian natives and other ethnic groups imported to Hawaii to do plantation work over the last 100 years. If this is the Governor's idea of working towards a better future for Hawaii, it is safe to say she's a good candidate for 'conspiracy theory 101'. Yeah, that's how you do it, rob from the poor, babes and suckling, to balance the budget of a state that "forged" treaties to cede lands to the U.S. and continues to sell off these lands as quick as they can as their 99 year leaseholds expire. The local people of Hawaii and their children, with their golden hearts of "aloha" that tourist from all over the world come to rub up against, pay the ultimate price. They pay the rents and taxes for a foreign people's monetary invasion: that buy houses and land at "fantasy island" prices not to live in Hawaii but to flip and make a profit. Local families pay the price as greedy house flippers have invaded their communities, turning their once affordable rents into "Hotel Vacation Prices". In many instances, entire communities full of once vibrant homes and a neighborhood atmosphere have been turned into vacation rentals. Why should the actual residents of Hawaii have to bare such an economic burden? Mabey the Governor could find some money to balance the budget from the real estate companies hoarding land and selling it to foreigners for millions of dollars: Only to be turned around and sold again, as homes stay empty for years on end and homeless families pack the beach parks, turning to beer and drugs to drown their frustration. Another advocate for "No Child Left Behind" making good on their promise....

Marijuana and The U.S. Economy

The biggest joke in U.S. policy is the "War on Drugs". First coined by Richard Nixon, go figure, in 1969, it was a call to target "immoral" psychoactive substances. Let it be known that drugs are dangerous and can be detrimental individuals and society when abused, or used improperly. But the so-called "War on Drugs" seems to have been primarily a war on marijuana, a totally harmless and actually very beneficial plant. The most detrimental drug has proven itself time and time again to be the number one killer in the U.S. and across the globe, alcohol. Used by early policy makers in the beginning of the U.S. to "subdue and pacify" Native Americans, it proves to this day to be one of the main demise of Native Peoples around the world. No wonder they tried to make alcohol illegal through prohibition. But that was a total failure, as the current "War on Drugs" is also a total failure.

Just take a look at the "conservative" talk show host Rush Limbaugh, he is a drug addict addicted to legal 'prescription drugs': He's a "conservative drug addict". Whether legal or illegal, there are going to addicts just like Rush! Addicted because of their emotional imbalance, lack of self-esteem and self control. The illegality of drugs only fuels the underground economy of organized crime, and does nothing to protect the welfare of citizens.
On the contrary, it could be argued, with supporting evidence, that we are less safe with the illegality of drugs than we would be with the legality of drugs. Just look at all the recent murders along the Mexico- U.S. border.
These murders are happening because of the "illegal" drug trade. And they seem to be getting worse and worse, as rivals vie for turf and control of illegal drug corridors. Would that be happening if drugs were legal? Would people be killing rivals over the legal distribution of OxyContin? The answer is a scientifically and sociologically supported no! It has been said that if Marijuana was to be eliminated from the California economy the state's economy would collapse! There are small towns in California that depend on the trade of locally grown marijuana to keep local businesses afloat.

Let it be known that we are not talking about the recent influx of the Mexican Mafia to these communities. The Mexi-Mafia is there because of the illegality of marijuana and the demand and profits created through it's illegality. Wicked mafiosos don't care about what substance they grow, make, or sell, as long as there are huge profits to be made. Legalize it and they would be gone!
Finally let it be known to all humankind that God created marijuana, not man, or if you are 'atheist', marijuana is 100% completely natural. "Weed" is not crack, not coke, not heroine, not meth, and not L.S.D., though policy makers include it in the "dangerous substance" category. In actuality, refined "white" sugar has been proven to be the most addictive substance in laboratory studies, and causes a tremendous burden to our economy through diabetes, tooth decay, and attention deficit in elementary school children. It's long overdue for a "War on Legal Drugs": True Killers like Alcohol, Tobacco, and White Sugar!!!

Computer Based Business and the High Technology Tax Credit

Recently the front page of the paper in Hawaii said something to the effect that ~98% of the tax breaks and rebates for the "High Technology Tax Credit" were going to non-local, not based in Hawaii, big budget Hollywood movie production companies, and research firms. It dawned on me that there numerous local video and audio production companies using the same computer software and digital audio and video equipment as the "30 million dollar" Hollywood production companies filming in Hawaii.
Software like "Final Cut Pro", "Digital Performer", and "Logic" or "Pro-Tools", are used by both local "small-'kine" budget companies, as we say in Hawaii, or "big-'kine" Hollywood budget companies from L.A. It is not fair that the big companies have been getting all the breaks, so I encourage all local companies with computer based production, using high technology like "high definition digital audio software, and video software, as well as utilizing computer based business applications to run your business, to apply for the "High Technology Tax Credit". The big money guys in the business world have been getting handouts, bailouts, rebates, and tax breaks way beyond their fair share and way outside the realms of a "free market", bordering more on plutocratic socialism. It is now time for regular hard working locally based businesses to get their cut. Look into wether or not your enterprise deserves a piece of any form of tax credit, refund, or TARP bail-out/economic stimulus funds. After all, it's the great entrepreneurs of small business, companies, and individuals that keeps the economy glued together and moving forward. Recently the big corporate conglomerates have virtually sucked the lifeblood out of the taxpayers, through their greed, terrible abuse of public trust, mismanagement, and bad business decisions, they have received ridiculous amounts of bailout TARP funds and gluttonous company bonuses for their bad decisions. Go figure? If your local computer software production company, or digital video editing company made some bad business choices, do you think the government would bail you out? Do you think they would give you the money to fix up the mess your company got itself into through bad/greedy business decisions?
Think about it. What is fair? What are the principles of equity, and equal access to the "pursuit of happiness"???

From Slavery to Share-Cropping: Parallels Between US Economy, Dollar Devaluation, and IMF Control of World Currencies

Looking closely at the current situation in the US and World Economy, one can find a curious little string running through the whole situation: Banks...And at the top of the list, stands the "Supreme Bank" the World Bank and IMF, a.k.a International Monetary Fund, set up to keep the rich rich and the poor poor. If it was set up for any other purpose other than to control and manipulate currency for the benefit of "Western Nations" and the wealthiest individuals holding the most "assets" in these countries, then it's benevolence should be brimming by now, fifty plus years after it's inception.

Take a look at Jamaica, an island nation that represents the world under a scanning electron microscope. This beautiful island, with it's "heavenly" tropical setting was "hell" for African Slaves brought there to be auctioned off to rich white businessmen, all the while being stored in prisons before having their lives sold off to make white folks even more wealthy. To this day the majority of people in Jamaica are still bound to the chains of slavery with endemic poverty. There are many wicked stories of mistreatment and brutality that go with this chapter in the building of the European World Wealth Monopoly; but it is undeniably clear that slavery built the wealth of the "Western World". Wealth accrued from slavery was the precursor, and initial equity for the founding wealth of the IMF and the "World Bank". Sure "Big Oil" has a modern part in this wealth, but initially it was slavery, and the crops produced by slaves in western colonies.

How does this relate to the current meltdown of the US and world economy? We must first look at the origination of "Debt."

A quick look at any history book from any US elementary, high school, or college, and you will find debt originated with the so-called "end of slavery". When slaves were "freed" in America, the were given "Credit" to work the fields of their previous "owners" in return for their "freedom". They worked the field and gave a portion of the harvest, or labored for their "ex-masters" in return for the right to "live" on the property; a.k.a "Share-Cropping". This is the basic origin of the credit crisis we find ourselves into today: SLAVERY. As long as we are in debt, we are still slaves. This is why the current trillion dollar "stimulus package" goes not to help working class people get out of debt, but to the very banks, institutions, and billionaires that keep people in debt: Those who initialised the crisis in the first place.

You see, the reasons for their unyielding desire to control money, and finance, is not to help local community based economies; But to keep the global economy under the control, or partial control, of a centralized committee of the wealthiest western businessmen who have perpetuated this obsessive form of control and "domination" for over four hundred years.

The goal of the "stimulus" is to "get the banks lending again", as President Obama and Congress has been voicing. To get the banks lending, to keep the people in debt, working as slaves to their debt for their entire lives. This is what they call the "Free Market Economy". Ironic, that the US economy, and World Bank/IMF for that matter, founded on slavery and established with the debt and indentured sevritude of "Share Croppers", "Freed Slaves"; can tout the salvation of the world's economic imbalances is the "Free Market Economy". How could it ever be "free" when the ones who established it used slaves to set up the(their) initial equity. How could it be free when the wealthiest power freaks only bail themselves out of financial trouble, and let the average working class fend for themselves while they work to pay off the taxes that bailed out the wealthy money mongers and bank barons, a.k.a CEO's, from their financial "overeating"?

It's like telling everyone in the world they have to race in a marathon, but only a select few individuals will start at the 20th mile mark: Everyone else starts at mile one...

This "Slavery Mentality" is rooted in the subconscious of economies world wide, and is the root of the exploitation of masses of workers and laborers the world over; Including the long lasting crisis with latin american migrant workers in the US, the enslavement of children in Africa digging diamonds for De Beers, the ghetto gold diggers in Brazil, Shoe and Clothing sweat-shops in India and China, and on and on.....They're all playing catch-up in this marathon that began with the Colonial Mentality of the Western world, spurred into enormous wealth with the Slave Trade from the 16th to the 19th century.

Welcome to the 20th century, or nine years into the 21st century, where slavery transformed into credit, and plutocratic money laundering and billion dollar plutocratic socialism is the norm.

The solution from this failed system is the guaranteed assurance thinking locally and acting locally. Collective security; if it isn't grown, or built in your community/country, don't buy, borrow, or sell it. Don't buy bananas from Ecuador in Hawaii, or Jamaica; buy local bananas. Just look at what happened to gas prices recently when we couldn't afford to fill up the tank, they came down. The catch frase for our time isn't the NAFTA/FREE TRADE slogan of "Think Globally act Locally" anymore: It is now "Think Locally act Locally". Local Buying, Local Lending, Local Producing.

The Western World has built a giant financial tree that is all branches but no trunk. No solid foundation, because it's root is in slavery and inequity, not equity and fairness.

What we need is truth, honesty, fairness, and equity(not equety) locally in locally based economies. We need to stimulate local economies through local trade, production, and transaction: Not national and international banks, banking on us being indentured servants to our accumulated debt.

A Local Media Story: Traditional hand-woven Polynesian Voyaging Sail given to Hawaiian Public Charter School.

For the first time in over three hundred years, a traditional hand-woven Lauhala voyaging sail was unveiled in Waimanalo, Hawaii. Given as a gift from Master Voyager Pius Mau Piailug, from the island of Satawal, Micronesia; to Halau Lokahi public charter school; this traditional sail would fetch top dollar from a collector or museum. Instead it will actually be used by the school for sailing, educating and empowering the students by putting it to the test in the wind and open water.
