A Local Media piece felt Around the World: Free Market or Greedy Free-For-All ?

With the "Free Market Economy" ideolgy touted as the solution to world poverty, a justification for war, and the funding of wars both large and small world wide, the outgoing American President George W. Bush has blazed his path like a bull in a china closet: Utterly destroying the U.S. economy, the moral standing of the U.S. in the world, leaving the country and world in shambles. After eight years of perpetual lies, ignorance of Katrina victims, "have-more"croniism, corporate criminal scandals, and tax dollar bailouts for the largest corporations in America; the economic and social ideals from both conservative and liberal wings have been clipped and replaced with the "have-more" ideal of Plutocratic Socialism. The devil is in the details of Bush's "have-more" mentality.
If we had a true "Free Market Economy," then only government regulation would be needed, not government intervention. While millions of home owners, students, and average hard working people struggle the good fight to pay their home loans, school loans, and monthly bills, living paycheck to paycheck;  President Bush, the U.S. Congress, and a few other world leaders and governments (i.e. England) are showing signs and implementing ideas and strategies with regard to the national and world economy that reflect not a "Free Market" at all, but more like a "Plutocratic Socialism" where the wealthiest money makers and power brokers controll the flow of finance,  and even manipulate or falsify the documented flow of money in order to benefit and keep them in power.
Bailing out banks, the "Big Three" auto companies, and greedy mortgage brokers is all the proof we need to see that we are living through a form of Plutocratic Socialism, where the wealthy share the wealth amongst themselves to keep their perspective positions of power. They not only use their own coffers, but if it gets bad enough, and it is bad for them right now, they will use our public tax money to bail themselves out and keep their perspective positions of power: Thus keeping  the "Free Market" from doing it's job and allowing for failure and punishment of bad business decisions by the natural collapse of companies that engage in bad business choices.
On top of that we have been inundated over the last eight years with the surfacing of corruption scandals at the highest levels of government and economic power brokers on Wall Street. The list is much too long to list in one article; Enron, Haliburton, Blackwater, "Weapons of Mass Destruction", Tax payer bailouts used for lavish vacation retreats,..... But we can start with the cherry on this Plutocratic Socialism blunder, Mr. Bernard Madoff, and the federal regulators that allowed the theft of  $50. Billion dollars to go unchallenged to the devestation of thousands of hard working people who trusted the federal government to do their job and regulate the "security and exchange" of monies in our financial system. They did nothing because Madoff is a wealthy power broker, a plutocratic pawn, thus the "Pawnsie Scheme". If he was a Venezuelan drug dealer washing money in real estate and the stock market, would it have gone on as long? For twenty years? The federal government allowed Bernard Madoff "free range" because he represented wealth, the wealthy, and power: the definition of a Plutocratic Pawn.
Free Market or Greedy Free-for-All? Can we afford to socialize the wealthiest corporations, banks, corporate real estate investors, developers, and multimillion dollar CEOs at the cost of the taxpayer? Or should we just socialize the whole economy? Why bailout some(who probably don't deserve it), and not the hardworking individual trying to pay off their school loan, or mortgage, as the wealthiest power mongers drive the value of money down the drain?
Under the watch of President George W. Bush we have seen what can happen when cronies, the system and it's lawmakers and power brokers are allowed to run unchecked.  The good-for-nothing greed of a powerful few has come to light over the last eight years,  and shattered the dreams of the true hard working people of America. The backbone of America, that dream the American Dream and are doing their best to live right, and will continue to make what is left of an "honest living".
